Accessibility

This is a plain, static website: pages of HTML and a stylesheet, with two small scripts. I want it to be readable and usable, including for people who are neurodivergent, reading on a phone, or using a keyboard instead of a mouse.

I am not claiming that the whole site meets WCAG at AAA, or even that every page has been formally tested against a checklist. That would be a claim I cannot honestly make.

• Text colours were chosen so body writing has stronger contrast against the pink than the pale sage on the original slides
• A “Skip to content” link is at the top of every page, for keyboard use
• The main navigation and footer are ordinary links, so they work with a keyboard
• Focus is shown with a clear outline, so you can see where you are
• Images that matter have alternative text; the decorative moons, leaves and tarot outlines are hidden from screen readers

The watermark-like drawings around some sections are decorative. They sit behind the writing at low opacity. They are not meant to be read, and they are marked so a screen reader should skip them. If they still get in the way on your setup, I would rather know.

The two lettering styles come from Google Fonts. If your browser cannot reach that, the site falls back to similar fonts already on the computer, so it should not look empty.

There is no separate text-resize button. Browser zoom should work as usual.

Headings use a script style. They are large on purpose. If that style is hard for you, the contact note below is the place to say so.

If a different format would help — for example a Word document, plain text, or a simpler layout of a particular page — you are welcome to email contact@mentalmatriarch.org or ask through the contact page. I will do what I can.
